Halloween in 2010

Sunday was the Halloween day and QuocNam was exciting to go trick or treat (he kept saying go Chucka Cheese). QN dressed up as spiderman and went to SouthShore Plaza with Christine (dressed up as dancer). The mall was full of kids walking around with different costumes. Walked around all stores for about 2 hours (2pm - 4pm).

We then went home and relax a little until 6pm and then went around the neighborhood to trick or treat. The night was a little cold. A lot of kids went out and QN filled up the candy bucket.

Dr visit at 3 years old

QuocNam went for a doctor visit on Friday 10/22. Here are the measurements:

Weight: 36.8 lbs
Height: 39 inches

QN was a good boy, followed doctor instructions (blow into the napkin so doctor can listen with the scope.

Fun Cut he Rope game

Today, me noi cu Nam gioi. He was told daily to goto the bathroom "di tie^?u, di ia thui" This morning QN ran to the restroom and check it out, then tonight noi "me di tie^?u" and me took him in and sit on the toilet for a little bit and saw him go peepee.

Apple picking at Honey Pot Hill Orchards

Last Sunday, our family and QN's cousins (Alex, 2 Thien, Christine, Cindy, Anthony) went to apple picking at Honey Pot Hill Orchards in Stow MA. Weather was a little cool...and no one wear warm clothes (except for QN)...

We bought 4 bags (15 for each...kinda expensive), and then took a ride in the ro*m truck to the trees. We went to pick pears. They tasted very good. Mom brought some muoi ot for dipping too. I used to be allergic to pears, but when eating them, they seems to be ok to me. We then went to pick apples, but folks seems to like pears more.

We went home at 5pm and everyone was happy. QN noi di vui, met nhung thich thiet :)

Play mini golf club and QN kept throwing balls into the water. There were a course where the ball goes into a hole and come out in the other end of the field, and QN loves to throw the ball in hole run down the steps to catch and then run up to throw into the hole again

QN can count from 1 to 20 in tieng Viet now

Dad is in Quincy this week

This week ba cua QN is staying in Quincy to help out with taking care of the boy. Our inention was to potty train QN, but he doesn't seem to understand the concept of "going to the bathroom"...

QN is getting closer to daddy and creating some bonds between father & son. During this week, I have to work at home and QN is behaving well. A few time, he wants to get up and play with daddy, but I told him ba fa?i lam viec, so QN gave up and back to his own world...he takes nap daily from 1 to 3 or 4pm...

QN starting to talk and reply intelligently now...he can sings "rua mat nhu* me`o" when asked.

Ho?i Nam: Con ten gi, ten Nam. Ba ten gi: ten Bao...Me ten gi: ten Thao...ong Noi ten gi: ten Bi...

Potty training

Today is the first day we got QN on a potty training. It was a mess. QN di te` 6 cai quan, and i. dinh trong quan. He went in his underwear and then told mom "ia xong roi"...Not working out well since he didn't tell before need to go to bathroom...oh well hope to get better tomorrow

Visit Chu Thim Bay coming from Houston

On Sunday, We went to visit chu thim Bay (ba, ma' Thao Luong) coming from Houston. We were treated with very nice dinner (sup mang cua, ca' nuong cuon banh trang). QuocNam was having fun with Sophia (con cua Minh, Trinh). I was able to capture some cool pics of the 2 kids holding each other :)

Two goods thing today

Today mom said QuocNam has done two good things:

Mẹ nói hinh superman đó, QN first lập lại superman nhưng roi nhình kỹ lại thì nói: đâu fa?i superman đâu, nó là spiderman mà :)

Later on QN help mom with tearing old receipts: mẹ nói QN rất là nhiệt tình giup mẹ lấy receipt ra từ trong bag. Xong roi mẹ nói: cám ơn QN va QN lập lại khg có chi, QN giỏi, QN giup mẹ

lúc này QuốcNam nói nhiều và dùng baby language to express.. Muốn coi chi chi chành chành QN kêu mỡ chi nhỏ
Muốn chơi game xe đua trong iphone, thi keu mở kit teen (christeen)...lúc trước kg thích thi nói hỏng chịu, bay gio thì nói: hỏng cửa

QuocNam thích papa hút gió over the phone, he laugh hard when I does that..

To my surprise, QN can look at the laptop keyboard and utter alphabet quite correctly. He enjoys taking a bath, and play with the alphabets

QuocNam falls asleep while eating the chick drumstick

Yesterday, QN vua an ddu`i ga` vua ngu guc rat funny (captured in photos). Papa had to pull stuff from his mouth so he won't choke while falling asleep :) He got angry after I tried a few times and it got a little ugly for a while...

Today, while talking to papa, QN loves to hear ba hu't gio'...

Cu Nam sings happy birthday to ba

QN goi ba and sing happy birthday to ba rat vui, len giong xuong giong nhu trong bai hat. Me hoi Nam giong ai, cu Nam tra loi "giong ba"...ba ten gi..."ten Bao"

Last weekend, QN pha, kg biet lam gi trong phong, ma di ra xach theo cai cua tu? trong rat funny, me. khg cho va lay la.i, QN khoc va lam du*~ lam, va co o'i ra nua

QN knows how to answer routine stuff now:

Nam may tuoi...2 tuoi
Tuoi con gi...con heo
Heo keu lam sao...ot ot
Heo an gi...an com, an bun, uong sua

Funny stories

QuocNam knows how to say "giong ba" when asked. Can say a few words now. Yesterday, he took daddy's wallet and when asked to return, QN said "hong chiu".

QN goi phone ba and says a few things regularly:

- Nam may tuoi? 2 tuoi
- Tuoi con gi? con heo
- Heo keu lam sao? o^.t o^.t

One funny story Mom told that: QN lay down the bears, dogs, other stuff animals and asked mom to get him the diaper wipers and starts to clean their bottoms (chui dit)...

A few good things

Today, Thao said that QN chi phone and no'i phone ba. Me Thao no'i: day la phone cua me, khg fa?i cua ba. QN then said: chuyen voi ba (noi chuyen voi ba), so funny...QN talks more words now and can answer a few simple things: thank you, 2 tuoi, oh oh xe do'

This morning, QN ngu day and ask mom: ba dau roi...


QN tends to say ba oi su*?a, he kinds of memorize this phrase. QN biet chi portrait and point to who is ba, who is me. Yesterday, I openned a clip in youtube and QN remember and said Vi correctly.

New year...new things

Hom nay cho QuocNam coi video clip of chi chi chanh chanh. Cu Nam thich lam, vua mo video len, thay cuoi la keo baba chay vo phong, leo len giuong va chia ngon tay ra de choi chichi chanhchanh :)

QuocNam biet noi duoc vai chu now: uong nuoc cam, dai uot quan roi nghe rat vui tay. Every time daddy sit and work on the laptop, QN chay toi va doi leo len de xem computer.

QN rat thich tam, nghe noi toi tam la chay toi leo len giuong va nam ra de daddy take clothes off.

QN con 1 that xau la thich danh lai. Last time, he hit ba then run to mom and said the reverse: me ba danh :)
